Pros

Opportunity to manage large teams, ability to explore different career paths within Amazon (if you realize ops isn't your thing), job security

Cons

Hit or miss leadership, some wouldn't be in senior positions if talent wasn't so scare. Suboptimal leadership, hours per week are not high but the work is grueling and mentally exhausting

Pros

Visibility, Prestige, Networking, Learning possibilities.

Cons

Long hours, rough bosses, productivity above all. I was sometimes called out for being "too human" to associates. The system is really ruthless with them. And showing compassion is not encouraged.
