Pros

The benefits are a big reason most people work at Amazon. Mulitple time off options from paid to unpaid plus vacation. Off for holidays such as christmas eve christmas and new years eve. Other holdiays we work are paid.

Cons

Long hours doing repetive functions, mandatory overtime which can lost for weeks and months to prepare for increased demand, limited time off hours so if you have no time you cant miss work under no circumstances.

Pros

You don't really need a gym membership for this type of job. You spend up to 10 hours a day lifting, squatting, moving up and down short stairs and walking long distances. I average 18-20K steps a day there. People are super friendly.

Cons

The expectations of rates you have to meet per day. At times they are unrealistic due to factors that occur working there. Bins too full, wrong sized bins approaching, boxes aren't scanning properly, and "water spiders" not fully trained to know what you need (small and medium/large boxes) per day to satisfy the expectations of your rates. It will not matter if those factors affect your job as a stower, you WILL get punished no matter what. I have worked hard and constantly moving to at least try and still, I get worn out physically and punished. Unfair and unreasonable.
