Amazon LPs create a culture that helps everyone move in the same direction. Customer Obsession and Deliver Results are things you'll never forget and the sense of scale will help you see technologies in a different way.

Cons

This depends a lot of the team but too many competing priorities and roadmap changes. Sometimes Product didn't know what they wanted.

- Amazons culture is super peculiar and important for your daily work, if you can identify with the leadership principles - this is the place for you! - from my experience you don't have fake to be someone else - you can just be yourself - the team is really multi-cultural, eager to solve problems and make an impact - there is a clear plan for your first 3 months of onboarding and expectations are always clearly communicated

Cons

There are many Amazon proprietary tools and technologies for development you have to learn and you can't reuse them in the industry in case you want to leave Amazon at any point

I've learned so much working at Amazon that I probably never would have learned while working in other companies straight out of college, and gotten paid decently well in addition. It's been a worthwhile investment in my career.

Cons

Even if you get lucky in terms of team placement, the overall culture will slowly grind stress and workaholic habits into your life. Be wary and have an exit plan.
