Pros

good company, strong results, strong and sustainable business model, IT

Cons

very much performance driven, in some areas a hell lot of a pressure Be careful when signing a work experience contract (WEC): HR is using the high unemployment rate in Spain to hire staff as cheap as possible (minimum wage?, 12k Euro p.a). Contract duration max. 2 years. HR will block you if you want to change to a permanent position earlier than that. Make sure you negotiate properly with your line manager in order to circumvent this.

Pros

30 days holiday Private medical insurance Lunch vouchers

Cons

HR department a total disaster.. They always take the side of management and never the employee if there is any conflict If you speak up and says things as they are, you are out Zero transparency on promotion and bonuses Unfair promotion - not based on merit but who you know, helps if you are Spanish Your salary stays where it is except for inflation, often after promotion which they will make you go through hell to get Management are obsessed with engagement results yet do nothing to try to improve except kick out those whose scores are low to improve the average Policy is hire young well-educated staff on low salaries, promising them career progression and then spit them out years later when they become disengaged after years of not getting what they were promised.. this way they keep their payrol costs down to fund senior management bonuses Finance department very toxic, lots of backstabbing and butt-licking. highly incompetent senior management

Pros

Flexible schedule, good atmosphere between colleagues, at least in the office in Madrid. Fringe benefits package is good compared to other companies in Spain, however the salaries are benchmarked and put at the level of salary conditions in Spain which is very low for the curriculums and experience that this company demands.

Cons

The company is run by financial principles. The only thing that matters is to deliver value to shareholders. Employees are those who suffer more the consequences with ever increasing restrictive HR policies: low salaries, low compensation for promotions, travel abroad with low-cost conditions. Talent is not rewarded and lately we are seeing that, despite the fact the company is able to attract good people the young ones are leaving soon as the conditions are poor compared to other companies both in reward schemes and career paths. There's too much politics at C and D levels, senior executives more worried about their packages than about the progress of the business and cross-functional cooperation.
