      Only go out of college, not a place for long term growth

      Great culture, extremely fun colleagues and office vibe

      Cons

      Disingenuous role descriptions and interview process - they mask what the roles really are to both CST and to other "specialist" roles to hire people which leads to a huge rate of turnover The majority of roles "CST" are not sales roles, they are finding people on linkedin and sending their profiles to your client roles (NOT SALES). 99% (literally) of the employees at the company have only ever worked at AlphaSights and thus people promoted and in positions of power have almost no real work experience. 10 hour work day every day is mandatory.

The associate is focused on sourcing and engaging experts for client briefs, leveraging their negotiation and persuasion skills during the process. The opportunity to manage a team early in one's career is why ambitious and driven individuals join AlphaSights.       There are pros and cons - glassdoor reviews provide insight into the job and how different people find it

      Pros

      - This job allowed me to get a job having not applied to any during my final year, it allowed me to move to London, I got paid incredibly well and has led to work friendships that will last beyond AlphaSights. These were so key as a stressed grad trying to get a job - Opportunity to speak to some incredibly interesting high-level people daily - Solid understanding of a range of industries, especially your clients (PE, Capital markets, Strategy consulting, etc) - The skills you will learn are soft skills, not hard skills. However, the soft skills are very transferable and you can big up the role and make it sound much more impressive sounding in an interview - I have come out of this job having got a completely different job that my AlphaSights role has made possible

      Cons

      - Monotonous, long hours, LinkedIn scrolling, cold calling (I did basicailly avoid this my whole year but its very encouraged), and clients are rude/unappreciative - targets are horrible even when achieving them, it is on your laptop dashboard every day and your managers will consistently pressure and chase. Money driven people love target system because if you hit target you get £750 extra a month, if you're not money driven the incentive system does not motivate at all

      Pros

      Good place to start a career after college and develop skills necessary to succeed long term at the company or elsewhere. Strong investment in each employee's success and personal development. Company culture.

      Cons

      No major cons. Young company with some growing pains that are always addressed through communication to responsive leadership.
