Pros
I am not too sure about the positives.
Cons
I have worked at Alphasights for about a year and only now that I have moved to another job I am fully internalizing how poorly alphasights treat their employees. The job itself is nothing more than a call centre, there is absolutely ZERO consultancy as per they say and no exposure to a wide of different industries. Your job is simply to recruit people on linkedin and convince them to speak with your clients, period. The job itself would not be an issue only if Alphasights was portraying an accurate job description. The most important point however is the extremely toxic environment and the hire and burn model they are following. At several occasions when leaving the office on time (which did not happen often as you are expected to work extra hours) I was given looks by both my manager and my VP. They create a toxic environment where you are consistently critised behind the disguise of ‘feedback sessions’. The weekly and sometimes twice a week feedback sessions are the most pointless meetings I have ever had. You basically sit there and have your manager tell you what you did wrong without any possibility for you to explain your rationale. If I were to sum up Alphasights mentality is employee’s blaming, whatever you do you are wrong. Alphasights has taken a huuuge toll on my mental and physical health, a lot of people working there are depressed and looking frantically for other jobs. It is the saddest job I have ever had and knowing what I know now I would have nevee taken the job last year. No life and work balance so much so that they had to explain this in their new joiners soeexh, they use the term ‘harmony’. The hours are ridiculous 8:30-6:30 but still you are expected to work beyond those hours. No flexible working either, so going to the office everyday. It is not even hybrid at this point. I am actually surprised they have not received any lawsuit yet from employees.
