Pros

When I first joined, there was a strong culture of openness and the genuine commitment of the management to listen to employee feedback. However, in recent times, there has been a noticeable decline in this aspect, coinciding with a shift in leadership

Cons

I used to speak highly of Adyen's open culture but it is long gone. New management lacks alignment with company culture Openness to feedback has diminished Retaliation against employees who provide genuine feedback The new leadership, heavily influenced by Asian culture, has brought with it a different set of values and practices that do not align with the established company culture The company prefers new externals hires instead of encouraging internal growth, so if you're trying to progress this is not the place for you.

Pros

- Great value product & its market positioning (value over price) - Good global exposure

Cons

- Draconian etiquette school- Regional leadership acts as 'Veteran gatekeepers of Adyen culture & values' & overdo it. They'd school you on how/when to talk, walk & even smile a certain way that they think is right, leaving no room for individual personalities to flourish- Intrusive management style. - Totalitarian set up- While we advocate freedom of speech & openness here, you're not really expected to practise it fully. Be careful questioning position, authority, management style because it offends the veterans & you can be called out negatively. - Organic workplace conversations with management are atypical. - Lack of formalised HR processes in regional offices, like India, lead to loose management style. - Inorganic feedback style, thru. emails & PDFs. Concept of bottom-up feedback mechanism is alien to a few in the management.
