Pros

I was at Accenture for 5.5 years. It was great, but the company doesn't really care about it's people. Just know that it's a great resume builder and the leadership opportunities are good. The company highers really smart and personable people, but many get corrupted later on or just decide to leave. - Great real business world experience - Good benefits - Great "management" training

Cons

Just know what you want to get out of it and then leave. You may regret the day that you made serious sacrifices to prove that you are doing high performing work. The people will use you like a bag of sand and then throw you away...translation...you will spend many long nights on the road, working hard to meet ridculous deadlines and then will not get the performance rating that you deserve. - Excessively political - Good old boys place - Cut throat environment - Crappy pay - Only diverse at the bottom

Pros

Accenture is a good career starter out of university, as it has a good brand name and begins with a good training curriculum. The salaries for new joiners out of university used to be very good (becoming less so). Good amount of vacation time and good healthcare. Travelling, although tiring after a while, can be exciting for new Analysts and Consultants.

Cons

The pay has been severely degraded over the last few years, making the salary not so competitive with the market. All the good people are smart enough to leave early, and the very bad people are managed out, leaving a group of mediocre managers and senior managers (with a few exceptions). Once you become specialised in one area, the company will not support you to transfer to another area or learn new skills.

Pros

Takes motivated people who aren't quite sure what they want to do in life, and gives them direction and a chance to prove themselves. Really good people to work with. Usually intelligent, motivated and sociable, with the usual exceptions. Promotion system is usually fair, and chances to rise fast through the company come fast. Opportunity to change if you do not like what you are doing. Ability to manage your own career.

Cons

Senior execs emphasis on sales ahead of anything else. Not enough centralized policy on what opportunities to pursue. Snr Execs usually get carte blanche to pursue sales, and can make some very bad decisions that land everyone in it when it comes time to deliver. Inability of many snr execs to say no to clients.
