Pros

A lot of opportunity to move within the organisation, I've held multiple roles since joining AXA and received a lot of support and development along the way. People often take roles in different countries too. There's a lot of opportunity to partner with global colleagues on key projects. The flexible working culture is incredible, I've never worked anywhere like this before, there's so much trust to manage your own working day, to balance professional and personal priorities. I've learned a lot about how to navigate a large organisation, how to get buy-in, present to different audiences and lead change.

Cons

There's not much of a vibrant working culture here, if you're a young professional it can often feel you're the odd one out - not married with kids. Things move very slow! If you're put off by long term projects, this is not the place for you. Insurance and financial services is a very risk averse environment, this can operate as a barrier to innovation, speed and progress. The corporate cringe can become overwhelming, especially at events.
