Pros

You can be given the freedom to gain experience at a level higher than your position

Cons

Politics! The company is in the middle of a merger and sales of some holdings. It also has made redundancies. Pay does not match market rates - or just depending on the role

Pros

Idyllic location in the Bay area, reasonably flexible work environment, work with many really talented people, a lot of deadweight has been sloughed off in recent days.

Cons

a collaborative small company culture has been lost in the takeover by the IM family, a lot bureaucracy and lot more manager emphasis rather than valuing of individual contributions
