Pros

Working at a unit recently acquired by AXA. Pros: Good salary and fair increases (before the acquisition by AXA). Remains to be seen what happens next years. Market leader and looking to expand.

Cons

All decisions made in France and by the French employees. Little or no mercy for employees in acquired businesses/abroad. Whole management layer replaced by French, despite knowing little or nothing about the business/IT systems/clients they need to manage.

Pros

A solid company that is a presence in the northern hemisphere and a leader in most European markets. Solid both in life assurance and in property casualty business

Cons

The company is not so strong on diversity. The strong catholic ethos of the firm is combined with a distinct lack of religious or ethnic backgrounds at the holding company level
