      Pros

      As the biggest independent automotive company in the world, AVL leads in several areas including vehicle/engine testing, validation and instrumentation. And not only for ICE vehicles. The company is pushing electric mobility as there is a huge market opportunity there, and people gets acquainted with new trends. It is an ever evolving company, it adapts to trends and market expectations.

      Cons

      Some positions require a ton of extra hours, as they have a very limited time to deliver results. There is a lot of difference in the working environment depending on which department one is working for. While research employees might be relaxed most of the time, developing teams or testing engineers are usually stressed.
