Since att merger most things that make this job great have or are about to change.Completely different culture, seemingly less concern for technicians. Less certain future

Pros

Great benefits. Good vaca package, 401k and PENSION. Union has some weight. Not a huge fan of unions but this job really shows how vital unions are.

Cons

To ease the job you must convince yourself that you are doing what's right. Kings and Queens of manipulation rule the scorecards. Learn to care only for your stats and the rest is inconsequential.

Pros

If you like technology and being ahead of the curve when it comes to knowing about it, this is for you. Union representation is wonderful. Seniority plays a part in everything, including scheduling. So the longer you work there, the better hours you get and the benefits are amazing.

Cons

The sales coaching is micromanagement. Like having to ask specific questions to customers exactly how they word it. Not everyone's selling style is the same and what worked for them might not work for everyone. If you don't do it to a T, you're in trouble. If you do, it might cost you your paycheck.
