Pros

- The benefits are genuinely strong. AT&T offers robust health coverage, solid retirement options, and one of the most meaningful perks is the separate paid time off specifically for caring for family; distinct from regular PTO. This is a rare and truly valuable benefit. - Compensation is competitive and there are clear structures for pay, bonuses, and progression. -Large company with many resources and opportunities to learn if you're proactive.

Cons

- The culture can feel negative, rigid, and at times toxic. If you don't fully assimilate or "fall in line", it's made clear that you don't belong. - It's extremely difficult to speak up, push for change, or offer a differing perspective without fear of being labeled 'not aligned' or 'resistant'. - The return-to-office mandate is overwhelming and has created a stressful environment. Having to track hours an days in the office makes it feel like you're clocking in and out; even in roles where remote work has proven fully effective. - There is absolutely no flexibility to work from home under any circumstance, even when remote work would not impact productivity. - You often feel like a cog in a massive machine: easily replaceable, unseen, and not valued as an individual.

Pros

A strong mission of connecting everyone. Large company with opportunities to work in many areas of the business. Great benefits including time off. Separate buckets of time for personal time and caregiver time. Generous and flexible parental leave policy. Rewards top performers.

Cons

It is a legacy company that has changed throughout the years and are on a culture transformation journey. Still areas of the business working on getting that change right. Some areas more hierarchical than others. Return to office means a lot of opportunity for growth if you are in or willing to be in specific hub locations. Fewer WFH opportunities than in past.

Pros

This is an employer that prides itself on creating opportunities for employees to learn, grow, teach, find support, be mentored & mentor, volunteer and overall become a better you and an asset to your organization!

Cons

The con that really isn't a con in my eyes is that you have to work for it. Smarter not harder. Network, learn, find ways to get involved and make it known that you want to grow with the company. It also requires positive outlook and representation of self. Union positions (bargained) can be tough to navigate as a new employee, but if you follow the rules, and stay dedicated you will get where you want to be!
