Pros

If you find a good group, it can be a good place to work. There's a nice work-life balance. You likely won't have to come in on weekends.

Cons

There are a lot of groups that are in maintenance mode and the people in the group are just coasting. This can be a bit boring. Management is trying to outsource some of this work. While there are good managers at AT&T, there is also a heavy bureaucracy.
