Pros

The name that everyone recognizes. So that when you make that "cold call" and say that you are from AT&T, everyone knows who you are calling from and usually "why" you are calling.

Cons

Reliability. Due Dates. Stucture. Quota. Processes. Quota. "Our T-1's have a 99.999% up rate, and they will not go down, we will know that its down before you do!" yeah right. "This is when you technician will be there..." Nope, just kidding, for some reason your job was never assisgned to technician, I'm sorry you wont have your lines and your dsl up for another week. Oh, and you like this Integrated product, this Flex Reach, with both your voice and data...well if you can wait for about 6 MONTHS we can have it in and up and running.

Pros

The benefits are outstanding & the pay is good. AT&T is a great company and has great products and the work life balence is positive. It has a very postive name and brand recognition and there is pride when saying "I work for AT&T." Free phone service, free long distance and free DSL are benefits that cannot be beat.

Cons

The overhead of working for the phone company. Not everyone is facing the same direction with many fiefdoms and personal agendas. None of this is new information but there is a lot of room for improvement and ways to get better at service.

Pros

It is way better than verizon to say the least. First of all the plans and the prices are a lot better. The overall coverage is actually better than verizon. AT&T has roll over min and they have GSM technology. This means that you can switch phones and use your device anywhere in the world. Something that verizon can't do.

Cons

The downsides are that there is a lot of stress. Be prepared to work and really earn your commissions. The base pay is about $15 an hour now but the bulk of your salary should come from commission. Your basically paid for new activations , upgrades as well as add on features.
