Pros

The job decent (23 or 24 an hour) especially if you like working outdoors and under your own supervision. Also a good fit for people who don't like working in an office or who like to drive. You get plenty of experience with working face to face with customers. Decent vacation packages after working there for about 2 yrs.

Cons

U-Verse is a job not a career. There is little to no advancement after a few years and its virtually impossible if you want to try working in another department. Most likely your supervisor will know less than you and be more interested in their own advancement than performing their duties. FMLA is rarely approved if you or family member get sick. Lots of forced overtime.

Pros

Stable company that you know will be around "tomorrow".

Cons

Stress from the minute you walked into the door. There was not a great deal of "training", especially for people without specified background. Some superiors had less knowledge about their jobs than the people they were managing.
