Pros

It really does feel like a team, those on the shop floor make working fun, we have a laugh and we all build up relationships with the customers. It doesn't matter what department you are on, everyone is friendly and will help you out. It's like a big family

Cons

The management don't understand our job roles. They pile jobs on you constantly without thinking of the other 100 jobs on your list, then complain when jobs are missed. Asda is bout the customer so I put serving my customer first, however when my other jobs aren't done I'm expected to work long hours. Also working time directive has no meaning in the asda world!

Pros

Atmosphere is good, lots of staff benefits and 10% discount after 12 months, discount holidays and option to buy shares in the future. Also childcare vouchers and free eye tests. Free tea/coffee n snacks . Lots of charity work too.

Cons

Low basic wage, short lunch break , only 30 mins for lunch unpaid on an 8 hour shift.
