The pay is not bad but the hours can be long. There are some smart, hard-working people working for the company. Global company with opportunities for short term assignments over seas. 4 day work weeks for superintendents.
Cons
Long hours in a high-stress environment. Union labor can be difficult to deal with. Managers are over-worked putting in 60-75 hour weeks. Promotions tend to go to the wrong people at times.
Base Salary is above average.
Experience managing a large area.
Opportunities to grow within the company.
Relaxed environment was a pleasure to work in.
Cons
Senior Management some of the worst I've experienced.
Promotions are extremely slow and definitely operate off the "Good Old Boy" System.
Not compensated for extra-time put in (as compared with other Terminals)
Senior Management expects 12+ hr days as the norm, but they won't tell you that.
