Pros

Contractors are paid reasonably well. Alstom is a global company with domestic offices and offices abroad. Could be a good thing that GE has bought out the Power and Grid divisions.

Cons

There is not a lot of opportunity for entry to permanent employment, because there is such a high percentage of contract workers.

- very good collaboration in the HR team - good work life balance - flexible working arrangements are improving - very successful Service Business

Cons

- internal politics - slow decision making processes on all levels - have the tendency to throw people in at the deep end
