Pros

Technically challenging - if you are an engineer, this is a great environment Pays well, good benefits Good work environment Good career opportunities - many people will be retiring

Cons

Sold to GE in late 2015 - so really not the same company (maybe that is not all bad) Ethics / legal problems at the top of the company in France Struggles to make money due to complexity of operating model rooted in Europe

Pros

Alstom has a great objective and great role in the modern society: improves subway/rail transport time by deploying driverless train and track systems with vital safe technology. Alstom offer great opportunity of mobility between countries and a flexible work environment. Great salary for engineers plus benefits

Cons

Currently running out of projects in Brazil area due crisis. Sao Paulo branch "Agua Branca" requires use of car due distance from public transport but company offers bus for arriving/leaving

Pros

Safe, clean, decent pay, and many people stay for the long haul.

Cons

You feel like you could get fired at the drop of a hat. The less motivated to advance you are, the better you fit in.
