Pros

Great product and decent benefits but work culture is very toxic.

Cons

People are treated like numbers, overworked and not recognized. My last manager requested from our team to request leave 6months ahead of time or he would flat out refuse vacation requests. This is one of too many bad practices happening at Alstom. HR treat people like they’re disposable assets and turnover is ridiculously high. To avoid. Poor work life balance. Poor management. Lots of lies.

Pros

Meaningful industry, global projects, good work/life balance, good benefits

Cons

Very poor project management I have ever seen, poor tracking and waiting for things to be completed by themselves on the last minute, leading to enormous pressure on engineering and logistics teams when projects are soon to be completed. Project managers change every 6 months. No real synergy between ex Bombardier and Alstom, despite communication saying so. No diversity at all regarding age (medium age is probably around 50) Company is not recruiting and investing enough in young people, it would rather rely on consultants who don't follow processes and can't use internal tools.
