      Alstom is a good place to work. Definitely not bad but far from great.

      Pros

      International Footprint and a controlled pace for growth and a true sense of stability which cannot be found in many French or American companies today (post 2008 crisis)

      Cons

      A company that is more political than it needs to be and that for this reason moves very slowly. The dicision making process can take time. Regarding other cons...nothing special in comparison with other multinationals.

      Pros

      The right person could make a positive impact fairly quickly. There are opportunities for mobility and they have something called "Alstom University" which provides training on all sorts of things related to your job field as well as others.

      Cons

      It can be a tough environment in terms of the culture. It can tend to be clicky and pressure from Corporate located in France is often burdensome.
