Pros

shifts flew by, good training and work ethic

Cons

lots of weekend work, wave goodbye to your Saturdays and sundays. pay is all over the place so each month you get a random number but it all adds up in the end its just difficult to project your pay. you get a good hourly rate but would be paid more at other supermarkets just due to the availability of hours.

Pros

Great benifits, vacation, and pay.

Cons

Cant hire or fire any staff. this must be done by DM. The expectations that are set into place are near unobtainable. The work load keeps getting bigger with no consideration for the actual time that is required. Store managers are required to work 50hr as a salary employee, but our hrs must be entered into the system or we don't get paid. Most weeks we will work 60hrs but absolutely can not ever only work 49hrs. As a store manager at Aldi you can not and will not ever be promoted. The District managers are usually hired out of college with little to no retail grocery experience. They are then trained in the stores as an associate until they can start running shifts and eventually run a store for a month or so. Then the DM training starts for another couple of months. They get maybe 1yr of experience and these are the people who actually run the stores who have no idea of what it actually takes.
