If you are a recent college grad, run for the hills if you receive a job offer.
Pros
The paycheck, free company car and PTO
Cons
You will be on-call 24-7. You will get calls at 2am because of a refrigeration break-down, burglary alarm etc. Your store managers will call you at 5am when their delivery hasn't arrived on-time and at 10pm when they are unable to alarm their store. Want to go see a movie or go out to dinner with your significant other? Expect to have multiple voicemail messages waiting for you after. This job requires almost zero brain power and you will only be a slave to the company. The daily menial tasks you have to give to your store managers are borderline embarrasing: "Can you clean your milk door"?, "Can you scrape the gum off the floor in the corner?" When hired, you will be painted a picture that if you work hard, you can become a director within 4 years. The only problem is, promotions are few and far between. And once you are in a director role, the job is a dead-end and almost as menial as the DM level. You think this is good job experience out of college and you want to try it for a few years and then springboard into something new? Think again. No one values the skills you learn at Aldi, because quite frankly, there aren't any.
