Pros

> Great people despite structure which makes it difficult to operate > Opportunities in other countries although continual restructuring means this might not be a benefit.

Cons

> Ridiculous structure makes it almost impossible to get anything done quickly. > Manage consistently under perform with no reprocussions other than promotions whilst mass layoffs are made at the ground level. > No consideration for people's skills sets when promoting resulting in wrong people in senior influential roles > Lack of stability in structure making it impossible to career plan > Lack of credibility in the market

Pros

If you like a challenge and have a work ethic you will thrive here. If you are 9-5, go elsewhere because you will get exposed. This company retains a stellar brand within the insurance industry and can flex its muscles as the 800lb gorilla. PTO is outstanding. Great E-work perks as well.

Cons

No raises. It is a shrinking company and it reflects in upward advancement. Great place to start your career right now, but keep your eyes open for opportunities 2-3 years down the road. Company is run by financiers and bankers with little concept of insurance

Pros

Big multinational company looks good on your cv. Challenging work but gives you good experience.

Cons

Management are terrible, manager appear to be have promoted due to length of time there or group they are in despite the fact that they have no skills to be managers. Your experience in this organisation will live or die due to who you have as a manager. I.T systems are completely out of date and cumbersome. All correspondence is done by email with no opportunity to build relationships and therefore everyhting takes an age to get done due to ted tape. Zero chance of progression.
