Pros

- Good / Phenomenal Pay - No technical work or rather need to work for more than 2 hours in a day but 8 hours in office you will spend - Young crowd, Extracurricular activities etc etc - You are getting paid for absolutely doing nothing - Wanted to log in from home (not work - Just log in : Yes AIG is perfect for the same) make sure green light is on in communicator : All you need to do is be online

Cons

- No Technical work as it purely Data Entry jobs apart from Portfolio and Actuarial, R&D - Every hook and crook will be promoted as Managers - Expect triple promotion also if you are good at buttering and AL-ing : Otherwise no body cares what you do - Lay Off is very common for AIG - This week you will be in one team, next week in another team , it keeps toggling - No Permanent structure post 5+ years set up still management is experimenting which structure works out for them - Interview Process: You know some manager in AIG, then you are in AIG - Useless in one word

Pros

Great people in the company and positive management

Cons

There are a handful of extremely wealthy agents that put people into a managed money platform they know under performs and IA's with terrible caps. This small group of advisors have huge amounts of contracts under them that they do not service and have never met, but their tenure allows the renewals and enrollment to pay them quite nicely. New agents receive picked over books and eventually leave, when they do, the business is rolled up to the select few. I have seen partnerships that the new person does basic enrollments and the tenured hand picks the clients with assets. Rinse repeat, until you have agents making 24k and the select few making $500k+ and there are no friends in those trenches.

Pros

Flexible work arrangement and good benefits/PTO

Cons

Most of the company hasn’t received raises in 5+ years, management says there’s “no money” but they’re constantly replacing the executive leadership, buying out old contracts and bringing in new people including creating new positions. They have millions to spend on crappy leadership but nothing to invest in the rank and file who actually do the work. It’s a culture of the haves and the have nots; the rules don’t apply to all and if you’re high enough or have friends who are high enough you can get away with anything. They’re constantly laying people off and reorganizing. No group is properly staffed and morale is in the toilet. Leadership holds town halls where they say nothing informative or of any value, questions are planted with pre-scripted answers. They’re constantly asking for our feedback and then nothing ever changes. It’s a toxic environment and culture.
