Pros

medical benefits are decent * otherwise look for work elsewhere * you won't be referring friends - (hope nobody has enemies of this caliber)

Cons

no bonuses or incentives offered or paid - better negotiate a decent salary upfront -increases are minimal if that and no where near market averages. no real HR presence locally and no employee support. claim reps are exempt only to exclude overtime pay - workloads demand unpaid hours in excess of 60 week and 6 days. more dissatisfied coworkers per ca-pita than any company of same size.

Pros

The best thing about AIG is that you can get all the training you need to get your foot in the door for a career in insurance. The company is well known internationally and once you have you license(s) it's up to you to maintain it/them.

Cons

The culture there is not conducive to a work/life balance. The job alone is stressful, but because management is driven by their managers to produce, produce, produce--a negative trickle down is created. Quality is compromised in the effort to increase quantity. Felt like an assembly line. Be prepared that you may feel like a grunt at the end of each day.
