Pros

Managers are excellent and really work hard to help the financial advisers succeed. They do a great job with conferences, meetings & providing good marketing materials. Good financial planning tools. You have complete control over your schedule and work/life balance. Management is supportive throughout to help you hit your goals. AIG is coming back. You can cross-sell almost anything. Own B/D. Great benefits. Integration with sunamerica will only help.

Cons

Average CRM, portfolio diagnostic tools. K12 market is tough. Big focus on new enrollments. Commission grids changing/reduced. It takes a few years to really get going for new people without relationships.

Pros

Large company. Room to move up.

Cons

Not a place for "stars". Ideal environment for mediocre workers. A large percentage of employees are more concerned about "protecting themselves" than doing their job to the best of their ability. Extremely inefficient. Many of the processes in place do not generate value, instead promote inefficiency and complacency.
