Pros

High Performance is rewarded and highly valued. Many training and development programs are offered with excellent on line tools and other blended learning. The senior executives and management I am exposed to possess a great deal of integrity and are as hard working as the associates. If you look at the tenure of associates it is very high and I think that tells the story that its a great place to build your career.

Cons

There are great expectations for high performance and so if you are willing to work hard and focus on growing the business and developing your talent and help develop others talent it is very rewarding. However if you do not want to work hard or just want to skate by, nd are not a team player you wouldn't enjoy working here. ADP does expect a lot of their associates. If you want a 9 to 5 job, this is not the place for you. If you want to build a rewarding career, then you can find it here if you are willing to put in the effort required.

Pros

Benefits (for "associates", or full time employees), competitive salaries, flexibility. They have an actual pension plan, which is unheard of these days outside of the large, dinosaur corporations. If you're going to spend a full career in one company, this is a good place to go.

Cons

Unstable in Dealer Services right now with the reliance upon the auto industry, incredibly bureaucratic. The speed in which ADP Dealer Services moves is very, very slow, and most of that problem seems to be multiple layers of approval. For example, for their software processes, they haven't even heard Agile, and still very much rely upon an old style waterfall software development, outside of some small teams (of which one I worked on).

Pros

Really good place to work. A place where a large percentage of the staff stays around for 10+ years. Benefits are better than at other companies I have worked at in the past. Career advancement is good. If you are the type of person that digs into things and does not care about personal gain then you can really improve your position at ADP on a consistent basis. I have known people that becuase they have been willing to go the extra mile have moved up within the company. I am talking about a promotion every 18-24 months on average due to their hard work.

Cons

Sometimes puts the cart before the horse is the best way to describe life at ADP. They will come up with a new product and start selling it before we can even support it. Also the mentality that the sales department is more important than anyone else.
