Pros

ADP has a young and open culture and excellent training. All of my managers are knowledgeable and happy to help. ADP is a great place to learn how to sell, and a good place to stay if you move up

Cons

While the company itself is a joy to work for, you need thick skin and perserverance to sell the product. Name recognition and an excellent product go a long way, but expect quite a bit of cold calling and telemarketing in the beginning

Pros

Pay is not too bad, good benefits, respected company (good to have on resume). Close to home, vacation time, fun co-workers.

Cons

Job security - over the last year there have been a lot of layoffs which has caused the overall morale to suffer, and for people to start worrying about their own jobs. If you work at ADP, don't expect it to be easy...you will have a lot of long hours, sometimes a lack of guidance, and a lot of struggling while trying to find answers.

Pros

The employee benefits are decent. It seems that in areas outside of Major Accounts Benefits Administration, training is provided, expectations are set, and processes are outlined.

Cons

This review pertains to Major Accounts Benefits Administration Services only. Service Concerns - Only minimal training is provided, if any. There are many manual processes required for servicing clients, but very few of the processes are documented, resulting in numerous errors. Management seems oblivious to the client issues, although client retention rates and customer service surveys indicate a major problem. Promotions - It is unclear how to get promoted within Major Accounts Benefits Administration Services. While there are some promotions happening, Management doesn't seem willing to guide or provide direction to associates for promotions. When promotions happen, other associates are usually left scratching their heads, trying to understand. Posting for Jobs Outside of Major Accounts Benefit Administration Services - During my time in this organization, I have seen very few people successfully move from M A - B A S to another organization within ADP. It is unclear if other areas are not interested in B A S employees or if current B A S Management is standing in the way.
