Pros

A good company for recent graduates. You'll learn a lot, the training is great.

Cons

No work life balance. Hours are long and you often take work home. Depending on what business unit you may not be able to take vacation during annual enrollment and year end. They are opening new locations in low coast areas but are laying off senior employees in high cost regions. There is no loyalty. My advice would be to work there to get experience and then find another job at a different company that values its employees.

Pros

Depending on what business unit, the company could be a great place to grow. If you're considered to have potential, you're groomed for success. Enjoyed most of the company activities. I did appreciate upper level manager, not only listened, but progressively worked on changes.

Cons

Training was sub par. After completing 20 wks of training, I started my role not knowing what to do. The training covered some of the job in bits and pieces so you never saw the full scope. When it was time to do the work, you didn't know where to start because training never showed job from start to finish. Management didn't even know how to do the job and often gave the run around when looking for answers. When I was hired, I was impressed with the number of people who'd been there 10 plus years.... thenI found out they hated their job but had become complacent and afraid of looking for something new. Definitely didn't want to find myself in that position. Pay was low compared to competition and turnover was high. I didn't like that I could ask 5 different people the same question about a process and get 6 different answers! No work life balance.

Pros

Most salaries are okay. No micro management. Management tries to do what's best for the employees and teams. Good co-workers. Good work hours.

Cons

There are lay offs all the time somewhere. Always concerned that one day it will be you - NO job security. ADP is always promoting their flexible work arrangements and how many employees work from home. While that used to be true and was a great advantage for the company, they are quickly reversing this and people are being forced to come back to the office 100% of time (no working from home), and if you don't live near an office you will either have to find another job, move or quit. ADP needs to stop lying and stop promoting their flexibility (aka: best company for working mothers, or top company with remote jobs, etc) because that is not the reality at all.
