Pros

Great company to work for, great benefits as a leader in HCM, conservative management strategy allowed the company to navigate the tough times without too much disruption. Lots of smart people

Cons

Pay was not great, steady enough to keep folks complacent, but not enough to retain overachievers and top performers.

Pros

Working at ADP will put an established large company on your resume Solid for entry level people that have never worked in a corporate environment Benefits are fairly comprehensive but very pricey Excellent facilities in certain location (On site Gym, daycare, cafeteria)

Cons

The pay is just under market rate. It is very likely that they use their payroll data to know just how much to shave off. Management staff is weak. There are some A+ players still left at ADP but most them have retired or gone on to ADP's more agile competitors. Technology and Products. ADP's products are outdated and unsuited for more fast changing HCM market that they are trying to make a play for. The current new interface that they are rolling out is just a pretty face on all their old products. Movement within the company. You are locked into your hiring position for one year per their employment agreement. There is a mysterious waiver for this rule but it is reserved for the higher ups in the company. HR processes. The HR department is one of the worse that you will ever encounter. Internally HR is run by in call center fashion to handle generic questions and few higher representatives. The higher representatives are their solely to cover for the mistakes that the weak management staff makes. Work environment. Each person you encounter is pretty much out for themselves especially if they are allowed to work remotely. So there is not a lot of information sharing across teams.
