Pros

- Great product - Strong onboarding - Relatively few meetings - Total ownership over functional areas

Cons

- Convexity/commitment to asynchronous culture can be rigid, not for everyone - Culture of documentation borders on the obsessive - So process-oriented that it creates roadblocks and makes it difficult to accomplish simple tasks - Zero DEI commitment

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy to hear that you appreciate our product, strong onboarding, and the autonomy you have over your functional areas. It’s also encouraging to know that you find value in having fewer meetings—a key goal of our asynchronous approach. That said, I want to acknowledge the concerns you’ve raised about Convexity and the emphasis on asynchronous culture and documentation. While these practices are designed to enhance flexibility and efficiency, we understand that they can sometimes feel rigid or create roadblocks. We’re actively looking at ways to strike a better balance—being process-oriented while ensuring agility and simplicity in day-to-day tasks. Your suggestion to be “slightly less rigid and more human” is noted and aligns with our goal of fostering a stronger, more flexible culture. Regarding your concern about DEI commitment, this is an area we take seriously and that's why a specific action plan and committee have been put in place 12 months ago. But this is kind of subject that we always need to focus on. Your feedback is invaluable in highlighting where we need to improve, and we’ll be taking steps to address this moving forward. Thank you again for your candid insights—they help us to refine our approach and create a better environment for all employees.

Pros

Management is supremely concerned (in a good way) with employee burn out. Great culture. Low meetings, high autonomy.

Cons

Unless you actively seek it out - being full time remote in a company that values low meetings, you can sometimes feel isolated.

Pros

- Asynchronous working culture promotes working from anywhere and any timezone - Transparency means, as a PM, I can find any data or information I need to validate something or to help shift priorities somewhere else - High accountability means my wins are celebrated and my team owns my scope

Cons

- Sometimes it can be a bit hard working on the East Coast of the US with a team in Europe as there isn't that much overlap

Thank you for your review! Yes, working an east coast schedule with a European teammate means that synchronous communication and collaboration will typically need to happen before 12 PM ET. Luckily, we have strong systems in place for asynchronous work via Trello and G-suite to support this issue.
