Pros

The people who work at 360Learning are truly a wonderful group and everyone seems very eager to help each other and collaborate on ideas and projects. The communication and transparency is very real and I felt heard and appreciated from my very first day here. The Management team from my own Leader to the C level suite are ready to help and listen.

Cons

So far, no downsides. You should be a fast learner who appreciates all the innovation and information around AI, Skills, Customer support and more!

Thank you so much for your kind feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that your experience at 360Learning has been so positive from the very start. It’s wonderful to know that our culture of collaboration, communication, and transparency is resonating with you, and that you feel supported by both your team and leadership. Hearing that you feel heard and appreciated is exactly what we strive for. We appreciate your advice to keep hosting inclusive Town Halls and sharing the company’s direction, and we’re committed to maintaining that transparency. We’re also excited about the thoughtful and positive growth in North America, and we’ll continue to invest in that area to ensure we remain a leader in the LMS space. Thanks again for your great feedback and enthusiasm. We’re glad to have you on the team!

Pros

I'm grateful to have found a company that has a culture that fits exactly into my work mentality and methodology. It's not for everyone, but honestly, it will be so difficult to work anywhere else that doesn't implement a similar type of culture and doesn't place value on remote work, transparency, and asynchronous communication! Convexity has truly allowed me to do my best work and it's what keeps me at 360Learning. It promotes an environment with very little company politics and while there is absolutely a strong pressure to perform, it's a very refreshing and healthy pressure compared to other places I've worked. My managers encourage me to take time off to care for myself and the entire company treats you like an adult vs. a child - as long as you get your work done and are a high performer - who cares when or where that work is done? I feel many organizations, especially in the SaaS space, can learn from 360Learning's culture as I feel it keeps employees happy, respected, and able to thrive. A low meeting culture and zero use of Slack/MS Teams/internal chat systems is practically unheard of but is what keeps me able to work to live, not live to work!

Cons

Of course, there's always a flip side to the pros I mentioned above. At times, it can be tough to get a response or an answer from certain teams or people and that can delay the approval process, slow down projects, and create some frustration. But, at the end of the day, we are all held accountable to the standards set forth by Convexity, so when this issue arises, we're empowered to bring it up to our coach and resolve the issue right then and there so it can be avoided in the future. There also aren't a ton of opportunities to meet your colleagues in person, so you do have to go out of your way to schedule virtual meet-ups or coffee chats to get to know people around the organization. It can also be difficult to know when people are leaving the company and when new people have joined. This has gotten better, but it can be hard to know who to contact on which team and who is responsible for what.

Thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback! It’s incredibly rewarding to hear that Convexity has had such a positive impact on your work and well-being. We’re thrilled that the culture we’ve built—centered on transparency, remote work, and asynchronous communication—has allowed you to thrive and feel empowered to do your best work. We also appreciate your recognition of the healthy pressure to perform and the trust we place in employees to manage their work autonomously. It’s especially heartening to know that you feel respected and encouraged to take time for self-care. You’ve raised some very valid points about the challenges of asynchronous communication, particularly in getting timely responses, which can slow down approvals and projects. We understand how frustrating that can be and appreciate that you feel empowered to bring these issues up when they occur. We’re continually refining our processes to improve responsiveness while maintaining the flexibility that Convexity provides. We also hear you on the limited in-person interactions and the difficulty in knowing when colleagues leave or join the company. While we’ve made some improvements in this area, we’ll continue working on better communication and creating more opportunities for virtual meetups and team-building activities to help everyone feel connected. Lastly, your enthusiasm for Convexity is truly appreciated, and we agree—we could be even louder about our culture! Your feedback reinforces the importance of staying true to what makes 360Learning unique, and we’re committed to keeping Convexity at the core of everything we do, even if the culture evolves marginally over time. Thank you again for your input and for being such an integral part of our team!

An atypical culture

Pros

360Learning offers an unmatched culture in the space (Transparency, Your Life Your Way) From the beginning, I have felt surrounded by talented people, with a strong desire to grow, this is key for me

Cons

The company grows, so processes are created, and a pyramidal structure is shaping up (although it's nothing dramatic in practice for now)

Thank you for sharing your experience with 360Learning. We’re delighted to hear that you value our culture of transparency and flexibility, and that you’ve found yourself surrounded by talented, growth-oriented colleagues. It's incredibly important to us that our team feels supported and empowered to succeed, so we're glad this resonates with you. Regarding your feedback on the evolution of processes and structure as the company grows, we understand that scaling brings changes, and we’re committed to keeping our agility while avoiding the pitfalls of unnecessary hierarchy. We’re always working to find the right balance between structure and the creative freedom that has been key to our success. On the topic of micromanagement, we couldn’t agree more! Trust and autonomy are core to our values, and we want to ensure that our top performers, and all employees, feel empowered to innovate and push boundaries. We’ll continue to focus on this to maintain a culture where autonomy thrives. Thank you again for your feedback—it’s invaluable as we continue to grow together.
