The take-home assignment was a little bit difficult but its supposed to be that way. The objective is to solve different business questions and perform complex commissions calculations with Excel formulae/custom functions. Besides the technical questions, questions are the usual, background, different tools one may have used in the past but also (and most important) they try to see if you are a culture fit.
Some questions around benchmark tools, for example IOR & iozone - demonstrate how to use them on a command line.
