If you could write about anything, what would you cover?
There was a focus on how I would deal with Gartner's analysts. They basically said that the analysts are a difficult bunch and in this position you have to improve their writing for public consumption. Or maybe emphasize parts of their analysis over others, and they will resist. They wanted to know specifically how I would deal with difficult analysts. I had general answers for how to deal with difficult people in the workplace that did not seem to satisfy. They wanted to know specifically how I would handle a specific person I have never met. Tough to do. You learn how to deal with certain personalities though trial and error.
How do you influence others to accept your proposal?
Just the basics: why do you think you're a good fit for this role? Give an example of a good manager and a bad manager. Tell me more about your experience with authoring software.
Experience in DITA.
