Coding interview: An adapted version of the Leetcode "Battleships in a Board", returning all coordinates of a battleship by placing bombs. The interviewer kept asking me the solution of dealing with multiple situations, and I spent a long time understanding the rule of the game, since I have never played such game before.
Have asked to parse a messy status dump → normalize → sort by a numeric field task. Network related questions

- how many bits in MAC add, convert it to Bytes - how many bits in IPV6 , if i answered 128 bit, they guy ask us to convert it bytes....and sometimes simple questions become a bottle neck.....lol - he asked abt TCP/IP, of course we all know what it is and how it works, once i explain he ask, how many flaqs are there in TCP/ip, - what is the TCP ip first sequence number ? - OSPF = once i explain the whole functionality of OSPF, he ask me LSA type 1, 4,, 5 , what it does ? -how many bits are there in 1 byte. - when u bring up a P2P connection, the interface is down. what do u check ? - i answered, mask/30, ip address must be correct, -he said all good, what else u check, i said cable type, transceiver type, he replied all good, - i said, speed-duplex, he said all good. - he said its related to RX/TX -4, -85 (this was very jargon for me, ) I'm sure it was a network deployment role, and not a Data center engineer. I dont' know what the interviewer trying to achieve. it was totally waste of my time. just sharing my unpleasant experience :)
