Dell acquired 2 companies that had a very different company cultures than the parent company (Dell). I was interviewing for the HR position that would oversee these 2 companies as well as a Dell office. One company had beer/wine Friday's. I was offered a beer during my interview. I just thought that was odd.

The face to face interview included a test of my HR knowledge with a series of compliance questions: FMLA, EEO-1, VETS, AAP, etc. Due to my extensive years as an HR professional, I was not uncomfortable and faired well.
Real time scenario questions
Questions from the HR Manager were all behavioral questions...have answers prepared. Example:Tell me about a time when you had to take on responsibility of a situation when you did not have to. - Describe a situation when you felt you might loose control of your self and explain how you reacted. - Give me an example of how you handled a situation with a coworker who gave you trouble, and how did you handle the situation and resolve it.
Basic questions related to the role. Not too hard and not too easy. I had a clear understanding of what success would look like.
Questions are based on the role you are applying for and are both tactical and behavioral.
