There were no difficult questions and they were not looking for experienced people with knowledge of the industry. For this role they are basically looking for people who they can still shape as it was more important to give quantity rather than quality. People who were not listening or did not understand questions but who just fired away got to the next round. There were to group activities during the assessment centre.
There was a lot of questions.
Why apply to a graduate programme and not directly to a junior position?
I was asked if I repair things around my home (appliances, plumbing, electrical etc) or if I called a technician.
Why do you want to work at MB?
The interviewers were so kind, and made me feel very comfortable. At the beginning, they introduced themseves, and explained me the work, tasks, and about the society. Then I talked about my actual work, my task, strengths.. Some questions were: -Why do you apply for that work here in Booking.com? -What challenges do you face in your daily work? -If you could change one thing in Booking.com website, what would it be? And we also made a "role playing game" in my native language, I had to convince a partner structure to sell us all the hotel rooms in a high season period.
have you had any experience working with targets?
How do you imagine the position- you do not imagine it, a detailes description is available on the website. How do you see yourself in 5 years- when changing orientation by applying for the position, it is probably that you are curious and various interested enough not to know precisely. The only thing you know is that you want to evoluate and be good in what you are doing. Role play implicating a previous practice exactly on this position. I have precised this was not my case, but they insisted on getting ahead. They were able to conclude if you are or not out of the box after the role play. Clearly subjective.
If I had to choose among the industries I have worked before, would I consider the Hospitality industry to be the one for me?
