The Tesla vehicles use electric motors which are capable of producing a large amount of torque. Newton's 3rd law says that a counter torque must exist, where on the body of the vehicle might one expect this to be? If you were a design engineer, how would you fortify mounting points to handle this torque?
For a sample of 6061 Aluminum, draw the true stress vs true strain and engineering stress vs engineering strain diagram assuming the rod is stretched one dimensionally until failure.
Given just the force applied to a rod of steel and the elongation, is it possible to calculate the engineering stress? How about the true stress?
