They asked about my familiarity with medical terminology and writing letters of medical necessity, which stood out to me since these responsibilities weren't mentioned in the job posting. I clarified that while I'm not a clinician or a certified coder, nor did the posting require certification, I do have experience with CPT codes, ICD-10, and relevant medical terminology from handling claims in previous roles. I also mentioned that I’m capable of drafting appeals when needed.
