Phone interview asked a few questions about my resume. During the person-to-person interview, it was more a description of the job and then I was asked if I had any questions. In the description the interviewer said that I would be given a "territory" after training.
have you ever worked in real estate?
Can you manage making cold calls to the targeted location our speaker will be doing a convention?
Why I was interested in CRM?
This is a startup and everyone here works very hard. Sometimes we're working 60, 70, even 100 hour weeks. How would you deal with that?
What does brand mean to you?
What are 3 things that you look for in a company?
Continuing the narrative of this phone conversation, I need to record his response to the above question and this is the only way to do it on Glass Door. When I told him when I worked for that particular company, his response to me was: "Wow! That was a long time ago!". Unprofessional to say the least, but at worst it seemed like he was practicing some age discrimination by brushing off my proofreading skills as irrelevant, even though I clearly said I have used those skills since then, but regardless---he should have kept his thoughts to himself, and he proved further that he didn't really know what proofing involved. He then wrapped the interview up quickly by telling me to send the document of my resume to him via email because the format got messed up when applying through Indeed--said he would call Monday (it was late Friday afternoon) but had to go to a meeting (sure he did!). Did not hear from him Monday so I emailed him (I had previously emailed the resume as he requested), and got a response that "We" (meaning he, as I had not talked to anyone else) decided not to move forward. He signed it : "Thanks for the convo". Bad experience with an interviewer who lacked tact and professionalism.
