They asked what the difference between a union and a struct in C? At the time I had no idea what a union even was since I have never used one... I mean really, who uses unions anyway?
Not too much technical detail.
Questions on C++ library functions (I wasn't able to remember the return type)
classical HR questions. Nothing unexpected.
* Oops concepts * Maths - pigeon hole, partial functions, probability, proof by Induction * C - structure and union, diff between procedural and object oriented, malloc and calloc, poniters * C++ - Inline function I did well in all the areas but I got reject. I asked for feedback but the recruiter told that they don't have any feedback and asked to to reapply after 6 months.
For an advanced degree job, they focused mostly on the basic stuff and didn't really ask any advanced stuff.
There were no really difficult questions, I guess the toughest part was not knowing what they were going to ask.
Nothing difficult as such in the first HR round.
