They were not interested in getting to know me, they wanted to know more about my skills and the way I react to different situations.
An extremely specific scenario in statistical analysis. I essentially said I would ask an expert in statistics, but I should have said, "how would you go about solving it?"
With 20 minutes for the interview, and having to respond to the scenarios posed by the panel, you have no chance to sell yourself or explain how you could perform the job well in their environment. The skills test was easy, but by then I knew I hadn't passed the panel examination.
