I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Workday (Pleasanton, CA)
Interview
Had an initial call with HR, when passed that screen, they required a writing test. After passing that hurdle, an onsite interview was scheduled.
I met with eight or nine tech pubs managers (in groups of two) and one writer. The process was very organized and structured. Almost too structured to the point of being rigid. It was a long day and after several interviews, the questions were becoming repetitive and started to become counterproductive. I would have rather met with three or four managers at one time to reduce the amount of time there and the frequency of repeated questions.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Workday (Berkeley, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
There was a phone interview and then a technical writing sample. However, problem was they never responded after that (months after). It was difficult to get into contact with them, and altogether I was disappointed by the lack of communication and professionalism demonstrated by the Workday HR team. I've heard great things about the company itself, but I believe they should try to improve in this area as much as possible.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Dublín, Dublín) in May 2016
Interview
The interview had several stages:
1- Phone call with HR. I was asked about my professional background, qualifications, relevant experience, and the reasons I chose to apply for Workday;
2- Skype call with a US-based hiring manager. I was asked for more in-depth information about my relevant experience, as well as theoretical and practical aspects of the job (what software I use, what's my approach, had I worked as part of a SCRUM team before, etc.)
3- On-site interview. I had a total of 7 interviews in succession - 2 face-to-face interviews, following with 5 video calls with various people in the States.
Everyone I interviewed with was friendly, helpful, and very open about providing information concerning the position and the company in their turn. One of the best interviewing experiences I've had so far.
A few days later, HR called again with an offer, and I accepted on the spot.
