The interview process began with a short phone call from a recruiter who asked about my background and explained the role. This was followed by a timed online coding assessment with algorithmic questions focused on arrays, strings, and recursion. Finally, I had two technical interviews over Zoom where I solved problems in a shared editor and discussed my approach, followed by a brief behavioral round about teamwork and past projects.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked me was to implement a function that checks whether a given string is a palindrome, ignoring spaces, punctuation, and case sensitivity.

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Workday in Apr 2025
Interview
The process involved a few virtual interviews. While the role was presented as technical, the questions lacked substance and focused more on SALES SKILLS, communication style and enthusiasm than on actual development skills. No technical assessment or coding challenge was provided. The company enforces a strict Return to office 3 days per week policy, which is not intended for developers. The hiring manager appeared more interested in extroverted personalities who could promote and upsell a technically limited product using buzzwords like “AI” rather than assessing genuine technical talent. If you’re a serious developer looking for meaningful technical work, this will not be the right fit.
