Workday Software Developer interview questions

The process involved a few virtual interviews. While the role was presented as technical, the questions lacked substance and focused more on SALES SKILLS, communication style and enthusiasm than on actual development skills. No technical assessment or coding challenge was provided. The company enforces a strict Return to office 3 days per week policy, which is not intended for developers. The hiring manager appeared more interested in extroverted personalities who could promote and upsell a technically limited product using buzzwords like “AI” rather than assessing genuine technical talent. If you’re a serious developer looking for meaningful technical work, this will not be the right fit.

Met with the recruiter and was dismissed by the hiring manager. Hiring manager didn’t believe my experience aligned with the role. My background is Information technology / system administration based.
