Interview
I applied for the Data Scientist position in San Francisco. In the onsite interview, all of the interviewers are very nice, and showed respect, and I like the restaurant in the lunch with hiring manager very much. The interview question is difficult. Actually, as Data Scientist position, especially according to the description of the job post, I didn't expect that there is so difficult question about algorithm/programming. Because I signed the NDA, I can not say exactly question, but two code questions are both from leetcode, one is medium, and the other is difficult. I answered the medium one, and I am sure that the code is correct, but apparently it is not the best solution as expected by interviewer, and I failed the difficult one. And after that, the third interviewer (there are supposed to be five interviewers in total), asked me "how do you feel about the interview today?", I say "just so so". "yes, actually, I talked with the previous interviewers, that we decided that we won't proceed your interview. And we don't want to waste your time, so we can stop now."

Question 1
Both of them are from Leetcode, which are (I think) pretty difficult to Data Scientist position, especially for the machine learning and statistical modeling background.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Workday (Ithaca, NY) in Sep 2015
Interview
Firstly he asked my favourite project. I had a good prepare on that and talked to him. And then he asked me a coding problem. White board coding. Given two sorted arrays, merge them into one array. He asked a follow-up question: if the first array has enough space for two, how to merge the two without using extra space. Easy question, just keep track of the last one. At last, he asked me a probability question. I was too nervous and I knew the answer but cannot give the process to it. So failed.

Interview
Applied online. Recruiter set up a data and time. Phone screen and online coding interview. The guy interviewing was nice, gave instant feedback. What do you know about the workday.
