Wipro Consultant interview questions

I was headhunted via Linkedin for an interview. First, I feel the interviewer misrepresented themselves. Unclear if it was intentional. I thought they were a recruiter and they were an HR rep. I thought we were having a conversation, but we were having an interview. She asked if I had any questions and then cut me off when I started to ask about salary expectations to ask me how much I was looking for. I asked for a range and she declined to offer and insisted I give her a number first. Then, asked me how much I currently make (illegal in a bunch of states, including mine). Then, she proceeded to tell me I'm not worth that much because I don't have enough experience. Reminder, I was headhunted for this interview. Clearly, no notes were passed along to the hiring manager because his first question was why I had applied for this job, I didn't. All and all it felt sloppy, confusing, and manipulative.
