I applied through other source. I interviewed at Walmart in Oct 2023
Interview
It was a 45-minute coding technical round with 5 SQL Query problems, though it was Python and SQL, no Python was asked. It was mostly on session calculations per day for customers and interaction with date-type transactions, PS: I could not see the table, so if you practice and break the queries into subparts and then goto the next step, this won't help.

Question 1
They asked me to calculate the active user who created a session on the same day and placed an order the same day
It was not that bad, 3 initial rounds overall okay, it would have been nice if they added some more depth in questions and asked good questions.
and it would have been great if they call or tell something before interview.
terrible Data Scientist role interview process, took 3 months and got rejected after final interview where the interviewer didn't have my resume and asked something else which the recruiter did not mention to prepare
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR) in Mar 2026
Interview
A recruiter phone call and then a coding round. SQL medium + predictive modeling. I think the modeling task could be a take-home assignment. However, the test was closed before the promised time. It was a 89-minute test.
